Famara a large, curving bay with many kilometres
of beaches is on the North-West coast of Lanzarote close to the market
town of Teguise.

The island of Lanzarote is less than 60km long – and so everything is in
relatively easy reach.

Caleta de Famara (click for map)
- 12 km – the historic old capital of
Teguise. Famous Sunday market, lovely craft shops, restaurants and
bars. Full of charm.
- 25 km – the nearest Tourist resort is
Costa Teguise, a family resort with a good range of amenities including
the island’s only golf course and an aqua park. Excellent windsurfing.
- 25 km – the capital,
Arrecife. Go for
shopping (branches of Mango and Zara) and people-watching!
