Kite Boarding is very popular on the beach, and the cliffs above the beach are a mecca for hangliders – and parascending - even if you’re not into extreme sports yourself, these make for fascinating spectator sports!

The world-famous La Santa Sports complex is just a few miles away so the road through La Caleta de Famara sees a regular procession of ruuners and cyclists doing training circuits of the area.
